One of the biggest things in my Muhlenberg education was the ability to explore my curiosity.
Something that definitely got me to where I am now is that anything I was interested in, I was allowed and encouraged to explore.
Until you’re exposed to as many different things as possible, you don’t know what your true talent is.
You never know when an opportunity is going to come knocking. I certainly was prepared.
People ask me, ‘How did you feel confident enough to start a business?’ It’s about not letting the idea that you don’t have the answers stop you.
That’s what we’ve done for 23 years, whether it’s with techniques of brewing or ingredients, to say, ‘Why not?’ instead of, ‘It can’t be done.’
